I saw on another forum people were talking about blanket training.

For those of you who don’t know, blanket training is essentially putting your baby on a blanket for a certain amount of time with toys and items and if they get off the blanket there’s punishment. From what I have read some people do this with very young babies like around 6 months or so?

What do you think of this supposed training?

I personally don’t do this, I’m about to have my third baby and never even heard of this. I never did any sort of “training” when my children were babies. No sleep training or things of that sort either as my girls started sleeping through the night at about 8 weeks. When they were older I obviously taught them to pick up toys and help with small chores but nothing extreme. To me it’s important that they express themselves and children are curious and they want to explore. To me it’s a little confusing on why someone would do blanket training.
