Are constant braxton hicks a sign of preterm labor?

I’m only 27w5d and for the last at least 3 days I’ve had constant little contractions and overall cramping that has lasted all day. I’m starting to get worried that it’s not stopping.. I go to the doctor on Thursday but I was wondering what you guys think.

No. I had tons of BH with both of my previous pregnancies. Like allllllllthe time and I was 40+6 when I had the first and 40+1 with the second. Lol as long as it’s just tightening and not painful shouldn’t mean anything. Drink more water and put your feet up if they’re coming frequently.

I started having actual small contractions at 31w. I’m now 32w 5d and I thought they were Braxton Hicks but I was wrong. What I felt was intense cramps and then my belly got tight from the bottom and went up every time. I also felt like i had to poop every time so I also thought it could of been gas pains. If you are able to change positions and it eases it’s just Braxton Hicks. If you try everything and it still hurts and won’t go away I would definitely go get seen. They were able to stop me from going into pre term labor because I caught it in time.

I would DEFINITELY get an ultrasound done right away!! With my first I was having constant contractions, it felt like they never went away! It happened for a while and I ended up having a placenta abruption! Only way they could see is if they do an ultrasound. I highly highly recommend getting it checked

No, Braxton Hicks are not a sign of impending labor, they actually just your body practicing for labor. 
True contractions will progress (get worse)  and have a pattern.

Nope, I get them all the time; I have an ‘irritable uterus’. They’ll definitely be more frequent if you’re dehydrated though, so remember to drink half your current weight in pounds in ounces of water every day [ex: 160lbs = 80 ounces of water].
