Is it ok if baby boy no.2 has dad’s first name as his middle name

Is it acceptable to use dad’s first name paul for our second son’s middle name even tho we didn’t use it for our first?

I know this is probably a silly question but needed an opinion since I can’t ask anyone in the family or they’ll know we’re considering this name lol

I don’t think all that outdated “first born inherits” stuff matters anymore, name your child after whoever you like!

My husband is the 3rd son and has the same middle name as his dad

You can, but if your oldest son has no other family connection in his name, he may eventually ask why if his brother does. It's not the end of the world, but it will likely come up.

Yes. My first son is named after my granda, my 2nd is named after my OHs dad and now our third will be after my partner 😊

My husband is the second son and his middle name is his dads name. His older brothers middle name is actually what we’re naming our son 😂 i think it’s totally okay!
