I'm 6 weeks today and had a 16 oz red bull earlier because I had a craving and I had a little bit of yellow/brown discharge just now when I checked my cervix. Is it possible that caffeine can cause light spotting in early pregnancy?

My doctor said, a 12oz cup of coffee was fine during pregnancy but no energy drinks. They’re not safe and can cause miscarriage.

Do not check your own cervix 😒 you can cause an infection, nevermind the caffeine.

I did see a doctor that specifically said though they allow caffeine to a certain amount in the first trimester they have found a correlation between caffeine and miscarriage. I doubt this is the case for you but maybe try something else when you get the craving- outside of caffeine a Red Bull is not recommended for pregnant women it does cross the placenta to the baby when you’re further along
