My coworker may be going through abuse

Hey everyone. I need advice.

I started a new job recently in marketing and social media at a real estate company and worked closely with one of the agents on her marketing materials. She is not very tech savvy so I was trying to also teach her how to schedule her posts for social media and to demonstrate I started creating a mock post to show her. I asked her first if I can open her phone photo album and she said yes. As I opened there was a bunch of pictures of her face completely bruised on one side and especially the eye area. I assume she forgot about them so she freaked out at that moment and quickly tapped on a random picture, but I did see it. I didn’t say anything from shock and we continued to proceed with the post explanations. She left right after that and I haven’t been able to shake that scene off my mind.

Do you suggest I ask her and how?

I JUST met her and that was out first one-on-one meeting. She is also pregnant and her personality is a little reserved so that makes it more difficult too.

I heard in the company randomly that her sales are going down and my boss was like - I have to talk to her about the sales. This was another red flag in a way but I didn’t say anything to our boss because it felt like it would be company gossip around a potentially super sensitive subject.

My boyfriend said that she may have hurt herself too, and this isn’t abuse, but to me it’s like - can you hurt yourself in you face that much unless in a car accident maybe or something.

Really confused about how to approach here. I feel as a woman I should say something but I feel really anxious about bringing it up and making it awkward if it’s nothing.
