how can i get pregnant sooner? i’ve already stopped birth control and we have sex often if not frequently, i’m 20 and healthy and i’m not sure why i haven’t been able too. should i take prenatals to help? do they even help you conceive?

Prenatal vitamins do NOT help you get pregnant. But they are very important to take starting as early as 3.months before TTC to help repair your body for pregnancy. They contain many important vitamins and nutrients to help a growing fetus. Folate is super important (contained in all prenatals) as it helps reduce/prevent neural tube defects! Definitely take them!

You need to take a prenatal to prepare your body for a healthy pregnancy and baby. But they do not increase chances of conception. How long have you been trying?

Prenatal vitamins will make sure your body has the nutrients the baby will need for when you DO conceive. Folic acid is a big one they need to help prevent against birth defects. My Dr. recommended at least 400mcg of Folic Acid when I told her we were trying. 
Orgasming during sex is BIG for trying to conceive. Your cervix will pulse to help suck up the sperm. If it takes you more than a year of trying you can then get your uterus and fallopian tubes looked at to see if you are ovulating properly, or if you have a collapsed tube or extra tissue in the uterus making it hard for a fertilized egg to attach. I had a polyp in my uterus (extra tissue that didn’t shed during my periods), and with a quick day surgery (thru the vag) it was gone and 6 weeks later I was pregnant. 
Hang in there, it can be a tough long run.

No. Prenatals do not help conceive. You can take them but they are not a must. I didn’t know it was even a thing til years later but I never bothered to take them when I ttc again.
