Hello, I’ll be 13 weeks tomorrow February 5 and I have cholestasis. My nurse and OB didn’t want to think it because how early I am but they did test me and I have it. In of December 2020 towards the end of the month, I was rushed to assessment at the women’s hospital with pain in chest. Come to find out I had hepatitis A ( a virus that attacks the liver) and my bile acid levels were off the roof! Also I had food poisoning.Once again my nurse and OB did not want to say it was cholestasis because how early I was in pregnancy I was about 6-8weeks then. Soon after being sent home they told me what was going on and that I’m too early to have cholestasis. I would itch all over no rash and it’s worst at night on the palms of your hands and feet. I’m 13 weeks now and they just telling me that I have cholestasis ( they test me for it) I’m really scared now I was told that my baby will be coming 3 weeks early and that it’s a possibility that my baby’s Placenta will wear off quickly and not give baby nutrients he/she would need. I now go to the” maternal fetal medicine “ a week after every appointment to check baby’s growth and movement and make sure baby’s getting nutrients. I’m so scared and worried I’m so early in pregnancy did anyone have to go through this with cholestasis in early pregnancy. 🥺 I would love to hear everyone opinion or if you had it early.
