Being told to be positive and other useless advice!! Argh
Hi lovely ladies and bumps.
I needed a little rant, and wondered if anyone is facing or feeling similar.
So I was due, with my first baby on the 1st Feb. I'm now 5 days overdue. I can deal with the daily 'any news' or 'when is baby coming' or 'baby doesn't want to come out, does it' messages, but what I'm struggling with is people telling me to be 'calm', 'positive', 'just tell baby to come out', or 'just rest', 'enjoy the last bit time you and your husband have alone together' . I've been feeling fine, albeit over this pregnancy, which I'm sure is harder due to lockdown restrictions, but still maintaining my santiy, even though I'm aching, my hips and pelvis feel like they want to dislocate, the shooting/stabbing pains, and fed up of the insomnia. As well as knowing that due to travel restrictions, I won't be able to have my family here or see them until... Who knows when. All of these things mean I can't do anything but bloody stay at home and 'rest'!! Also, my husband and I have got cabin fever and are bored of one another, and would like baby here, almost because we need the entertainment and distraction. 😂
On a other note, what the f is up with other new mums telling me how awfffulllll various things are during birth, or my midwife advising me to 'tell baby to come out this weekend' because 'inductions are very painful'.. Im due to be induced on Monday.. 😣
Any sassy advice to shut these idiots up?.
Rant over. I'm off to be positively unpositive and try not to stay calm (hey maybe I'll induce Labour that way 😏)
