Should infertile women be able to get married?

This might start an argument but whatever.

*****Based solely on the philosophy of marriage is for reproduction*****

SO and I were talking about gay marriage and he says that it shouldn't be allowed because marriage is meant for people to reproduce. So I said well then why can infertile women get married? They can't reproduce so they shouldn't be entitled to marriage. (This isn't my belief I just wanted to show him how stupid he sounded)

But think about it. For people who use the argument that marriage is only for couples who can reproduce, why don't they have a problem with infertile men and women getting married?
