Worried about Autism
My child is 13 months old and has been developing typically. He started walking at 9 1/2 months and is now running.
He does have a new “quirks” that I plan on bringing up to his ped at his 15 mo check up but I’m wondering if I need to reach out sooner.
He is very vocal, babbles all the time and can say a few words. He points to tell us what he wants. But he also does a lot of grabbing our hands and putting stuff in them or grabbing our hands to do something for him.
He does a lot of hand waving or flapping. I’m not sure how to distinguish the difference. After googling it’s telling me this is stimming, along with a few other things he does (grabbing at his clothes and kind of humming to himself)
He makes eye contact, is social, is verbal like I said and has met all his milestones. But I can’t help but he worried what dr. Google told me.
