Pregnancy seatbelt?!

Question

Does anyone have one of the pregnancy seatbelts? I do not know much about it but so far while I have been pregnant I have been in almost 2 car accidents (because of careless drivers). Part of my job is delivering and I am in my car a lot. This scares me a lot. If any of you mommas use a pregnancy seatbelt please let me know of the most safe and effective one there is! I don’t mind spending a pretty penny on it because of how dangerous driving can be especially while pregnant.

They aren’t recommended because they haven’t been tested by the car manufacturers. There’s a decent likelihood that they would break in a crash, which would cause a lot more damage. 
The recommendation is to wear your lap belt low under your bump, tilt your steering wheel up towards your chest instead of your belly, and scoot your seat as far back as is comfortable.

I’m just hearing about these and haven’t done any research at all. But I wouldn’t use it unless it’s been thoroughly vetted in crash testing.

Never needed one before. If you have to take a long trip, you might just wrap the lap belt in a soft towel or baby blanket. And on 2nd and 3rd trimester road trips, I’ve always tucked a throw pillow in on either side of my lower torso, I find it helps support my belly from jiggling and bumps.
