Feelings about the name “Peter”?

Family name on my side. It sounds nice with our last name but husband isn’t sold yet (we have time). He prefers Henry which is not a family name for either of us, and also I feel like it’s becoming trendy right now. But does Peter sound too outdated?

Personally, it’s one of my least favorite names. All I can think of is Peter Griffin from Family Guy and Lois’ voice going “PEETA.” 
But if it’s a name you and your partner like, go for it!

This is what our son’s name will be. After our grandfathers :) go for it! If people want to sexualize/make a child’s name seem inappropriate then shame on them. It’s a nice name!

I love the name Peter! I work at a daycare and their is an adorable little boy named Pete. It is definitely not an outdated name. :) Alternatively Henry Peter/Peter Henry are great first+middle combinations and is a great compromise!

It’s personal choice, I love the name Henry, I had it picked for my sons mn for a longtime.
Henry Peter sounds nice as a first and mn though 😊

I cant say the name peter without going peterrrrrrrrrrrrr and I have absolutely no idea why!! Maybe use Peter Henry as 2 middle names and find a name you both like for a first name that isnt family oriented.
