Tonsil stones

Has anyone else suffered from this?

I used to have them when I was younger but I haven’t had them in a good 20 years. I just got one out of my throat. I don’t understand why all the sudden I’m getting it again. It makes me feel self conscious as if I have bad breath since it can cause that. I’m not sure I did , I read that you don’t always get it. I am very regular in brushing my teeth so I’m not sure if that’s why I get it.

Side note: they aren’t very big and not calcified. Usually they’re soft and smaller than a pea. I googled pictures and it’s no where near as bad as most of those pictures
