Who is in the WRONG

So my boyfriend has been planning this dinner for a week now. For whatever reason he was so adamant on us going out tonight. And it was fine because we really haven't gone out on a date it feels like in a year!

I was happy to not be leaving the house in track pants! I would like to think that we are both pretty laid back people. Calm. Don't get strung up over things.

Again he was really keen on this dinner. He like timed my shower and was rushing me all evening. Like nagging me as I'm doing my hair. Nagging when I couldn't decide what to wear. Nagging when he realized my car was blocking his truck so we had to shuffle the cars around. Then he forgot his wallet and I forget my pocket basically. It was just one thing after another which made us late for our reservation.

I mean this is the first time I put real effort in. I hadn't curled my hair in a year or slapped on eyeliner. Plus some clothes were a little snug with my covid 19 weight. So yeah. We were 20 minutes late and he was just off.

I don't usually check my phone at the table. But my best friend who lives a few states over had a huge thing today. So it was still the afternoon where she is despite being dinner time where we are. For the record, my boyfriend was well aware of my friend and what was going on with her and I told him I was checking in on her. So I wasn't hiding anything.

Everything was great. We finish our food (they screwed up our order so we had to wait twice as long to eat) but we finished and then my best friend told me they were pregnant with twins after trying for a baby for 7 years and suffered 2 stillbirths. I was over the moon. I told my boyfriend that this was the best news ans the greatest day ever and he said he was tired of me not focusing on him and how tonight was supposed to be about us and I ruined the whole night by being slow and late and focusing on the babies.
