Can’t believe I’m a “mom” now

Is anyone else in disbelief that they’re a mom now? I have a 6 month old son and I still can’t believe I have that title.

A couple of months ago I went to an appointment with my son and had my mom come with me for extra support. The doctor said “okay mom, now you put him in your lap”. I waited for my mom to put him in her lap, and took me a solid 5 seconds to register that he meant me. I’m the mom. That’s my responsibility now. We all laughed at how I subconsciously thought he meant my mom 🤣.
