My screening came back high risk for Edwards & patau result 1 in 2 and I have low Papp-a.

I was referred to fetal medicine unit and everything is structurally fine with my baby there are no physical abnormalities which apparently is in-normal for Edwards babies however he has got a small hole in his heart.

Specialist says this is easily dealt with and they will operate when he is born as long as he does not have a chromosome abnormality.

They have referred me to a consultant which I see on the 22nd of feb for further scans and then we need to decide on having the amnio test to know for sure. We are going to make the decision based on the information the consultant gives us on our next scan. I’m so worried and waiting for this next appointment seems forever away.

Has anyone ever had low pap-a and been high risk, yet still had a healthy baby?
