This person called my husbands phone and left a voicemail and the name I have marked out is my Mom’s. Any idea?

Absolutely. They probably hacked old records that connected your husbands number to her and are taking the chance of taking advantage of her at that number. These scammers are relentless.

Google the phone numbers they called from and the number they want you to call back. If it’s a reputable company and the real deal, the phone number should pull google results for the company. It’s sounds fishy, but it’s strange they would have your moms name too. Seems like a lot of work on their part to research things that thoroughly.

Ny husband actually just got a call like that yesterday. And the person on the other end was hesitant when talking and he asked for his mother. My husband had answered the call and said “sorry there’s no one here by that name” and the person said “well we have your number” and hung up. Didn’t ask my husband name nothing.
