Go for it, fish is an amazing source of vitamins and minerals and proteins your body and baby need. Salmon and shrimp have teeny amounts of mercury so no concern there, with tuna just limit it to once a week. I've also seen some low mercury canned tuna options on the market.

The concern with fish/seafood and pregnancy is high levels of mercury. I don’t believe either salmon or shrimp have a mercury concern (hence why they’re in this list) so you only have to worry about the seafood in the yellow and red category.

I know you can’t actually click on links but if you want to look it up this article is helpful. Fish is a good source of protein, vitamin A & D, as well as omega-3 fatty acid which is recommended for eye and brain development. So eat your seafood mama, just make sure it’s well cooked and if you do eat from the yellow column that’s when you limit your servings.

I may be the odd one out here, but I’d say follow your cravings! Your body will tell you what you need, and if you’re craving fish, it’s likely for a reason. Try not to get too wrapped up in restricting yourself - in my opinion, telling pregnant women what they can and can’t eat (within reason) is just another way for people to control women and their bodies.
