Any landlords here or anyone with experience?

A prospective landlord is running a background check. I’m very anxious and nervous because I do have an eviction on my record. Long story short I had severe post part in, abandoned the unit and lived with my mom. That was the eviction reason. I’m worried sick that that is going to cost me this beautiful home. My son deserves this. I am doing considerably better now. Will this show up on my background check?

I'm a landlord.  If something like that showed up on a prospective tenant's history I'd ask about it and ask for the former landlord's contact info to verify.

Is it paid? If it is it will show up but won’t be an issue. If it’s not then yes.

Most likely he/she will see it, but it doesn't mean the landlord will tell you no.
If the landlord denies you, I would ask for the reasoning and maybe write a letter with an explanation of what happened and why you want their home. Getting on a personal level can go a long way sometimes
Remember landlords need to make sure their homes are going to good people that will take care of it and not destroy it. People make mistakes and shouldn't be punished forever. Do you have other references of renting that you provided to the landlord for them to follow up on? Such as you paying on time, not doing damage etc. Landlord will look into that more than one bad record from God knows how long ago
