Who has gotten pregnant after vasectomy reversal??

My fiancé had a vasectomy about 7-8 years ago. He had two children with a previous relationship. I have no children.  We are getting married in a few months and we want to try to have a baby after that. I just want to know, is the reversal surgery effective? Can I get some feedback? Thank you!
