Did you guys have a scan at 12 weeks when you recently had one ? I had a ultrasound at 7w and won’t have one till 20 weeks ? I feel like that’s way too long . Most people get theirs at 12-16 weeks and I’m waiting till 20 ?? I won’t see the baby progress at all

That’s 100% normal. I only had one at 8 weeks and at 20 weeks.

I went from 6 weeks to 22 weeks without one. I paid for a private scan for gender in between.

Every office is different with my first baby I only had an ultrasound at 8 weeks and at 20 weeks but with my last 2 kids I switched offices and drs and this office does 8 week, 12 week early anatomy scan and then a 20 week anatomy scan

It’s normal, a lot of doctors do that and it also depends on insurance. I have both my private and Medicaid. But I had a lot of miscarriages so I was getting them weekly from doctors or me paying privately.

My doctor does them in office. All except the 20 week anatomy scan. She will do them as often as I want.

Might just depend where you live 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm in Canada, I had one at 9 weeks (dating US), 12 week (check for chromosomal abnormalities), and 18-20 week (anatomy)

Usually there is the nuchal translucency scan around 12wks, you could ask your doctor about it. There is a window of time to do the nuchal translucency scan.
