Am I being controlling?

My boyfriend has this guy friend, they have been best friends for a long time but I feel like he puts this friend over me and our child, he’s always with him like every single day. It drives me crazy and anytime I bring up why he has to be with him he gets mad at me, but it’s like he would rather be with him than me and idk it makes me feel like I’m not enough, and he makes my boyfriend a different person. He encourages him to disrespect me. Does anyone else have this kind of problem in their relationship if so how do you work through it? Should I just get over it and let it be?

Maybe who he is when he is around this friend is actually who he is. If he wasn’t that person, he would respect you & want to be around you instead of that friend.

I've had to have hard conversations with my husband about friends before.  They were all " truck guys" that wanted to smoke, drink and drive, and work on trucks. Nothing wrong with 1 and 3 until his friends pushed the whole " better to ask for forgiveness then permission". He always got so rude when they were around even going as far as to make jokes like "if I would have know how much a baby cost I would have just wrapped it and bought a new truck" after millions of fights I told him I was done being treated like a doormat he either stopped acting like his single idiotic friends or he could be one of them. Obviously he chose his family but its really hard to get there

My fiancé has 0 friends who disrespect me or who encourage him to. There was one who was a bit too touchy feely once and I’m not really sure I want to know what went down between them but they don’t speak. And there’s another who has been disrespectful towards our relationship and they are no longer in the same place. My bf sees him so they speak, but only very cordially. 
He needs to change friends or you need to to dump him. This is not okay. You should be his best friend and his most important friend/person (with maybe the exception of other family/kids).
