They are a reflection of what happened in our day, mostly with but can be without changes of some kind weather events, people, surroundings, ect. Or actual dreams that later are like de ja vu.  
Who knows. But there is a use in looking up random thought you have. You may learn something. At least if you look up the psychology behind it
