where do you store your diapers before washing?

hello! i have been cloth diapering for about 7.5 months and just recently had to strip because things were smelling awful. i realized i wasn’t washing them right, so that’s changed, but i’m also wondering if i’m not storing them properly between washes. i just put them in a wet bag without any other treatment. maybe baking soda every once in a while. is that a problem? do i need a diaper pail? thank you in advance!

I rinse mine and hang them over the edge of a laundry basket with holes, when they’re mostly dry, I drop them in.  Cuts down on the stink entirely.  Even without doing that though, your diapers shouldn’t have a stink after washing and might need a new wash routine based on your water hardness

I have mine in a wet bag in a diaper pail, but that just prevents my kids and dogs from getting into it. Been doing it that way for over 2 years, no problems

We have a small camper washer and wash them daily, then hang dry them. I have 4-5 days worth of diapers, I like a variety, and gives me a chance to be lazy and not rush to put them away. I know you don’t have to wash daily but that’s what we prefer.

We wash twice weekly, we store with a wet bag in a $1 store trash can no lid! Let’s the smell dissipate, no issues here

I just use a wet bag in the diaper pail, no treatment. I always wash every 2 days, I’ve heard any longer than that will cause issues
