So I am almost 15 weeks & my friends want me to have a gender reveal especially since I am the first one to have a baby between my friend group & immediate family. Yesterday i was talking to one of my best friends about the gender reveal. She previously mentioned how she wants to buy the crib & I told her she has enough time since this will only be a gender reveal not the baby shower. She then asked why I’m not combining them both the gender reveal & the baby shower together that way it just all one big party.

Original I wanted to know my gender right away because I’m curious, but I was like “why not a gender reveal it’ll be fun.” I was thinking of something small for us, a small dinner & then gender reveal since I haven’t been open about my pregnancy to anyone, (no aunts/uncles, grandparents, cousins, non-close friends) maybe with that I’ll have that boost of confidence to show my pregnancy. I then was thinking of a big baby shower, with extended family & friends knowing & it just be a happy gathering.

I don’t know if combining both gender reveal & baby shower is a good idea since like I said I haven’t been open yet about my pregnancy. I do want my extended family & friends to be there but I don’t think I feel comfortable to have them at the gender reveal. Any idea or suggestions on what I should do?
