Braxton Hicks?

Hi! I’m a FTM here and am 34 weeks pregnant. I’m just curious what Braxton Hicks feel like? I know everywhere says “tightness across the stomach” but what does that entail?

I ask because last night in bed I was having sharp pains from my belly button across the stomach on both sides. And if I pressed on my belly button area it would hurt worse.

It didn’t feel like period cramps at all. It felt maybe like a gas pain? Like I couldn’t really move when it was happening. I tried drinking water and moving around thinking that would help but I don’t think it did. I’m not sure but it was very uncomfortable and lasted about 30 seconds - a min or two.

Baby was still active and moving during it and has been since. It only happened a few times last night but nothing since then. Anyways I’m just curious if it could’ve been BH or something else.
