I had a lot of people recommend me to use this sippy for my daughters teeth. I’ve been working on her using this sippy since she was 8 months old, per her drs advice, and she turns one next week and she can’t figure it out still.

If I put it to her mouth, she just chews on it. If I let her try it, she just plays with it. There have been times where she’s gotten something out of it on accident, but she really doesn’t know to suck on it. She sees it as a toy. She won’t tilt her head back far enough. I have a few straw ones and she just chews on the straw. She doesn’t know to suck.

Is this too “advance” for a one year old? Is there another one that I should start out with?
