When to take a test?

We have been trying for 6 months to conceive and so far nothing each time I take that test I get my hopes up! I am currently 3 days late on my period and I'm afraid that maybe I'm testing to late cause I would test the day after I missed the first day of my period! Advice and thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all!

Most tests are very accurate the day of a missed period. It can take a healthy, fertile couple up to a year or longer to naturally conceive. The odds of conceiving each month aren’t exactly in our favor, unfortunately. Do you use OPK’s to help pinpoint ovulation?

I know the struggle!! You could have ovulated later than you think, I definitely recommend taking OPK’s because they’ve helped me time it right each cycle and keep my chances as high as possible (which is max like 30% each month, so trust me you want to get as close as you can to that). It’s also saved me from thinking my period was late if I ovulated later than normal.
