My doctor wrote me a letter for my employer stating that he wants me to take off of work the remainder of my pregnancy due to my mental health and covid being a huge factor where I work. Does anyone know if I can get unemployment because of this ? I’d hate to go without pay.

If it qualifies you for short term disability, you could try that through your work; but it’s not cause to get unemployment

It will qualify for disability. I had to go on modified work due to mental health my first pregnancy and got EDD

As of right now you can’t get unemployment for that reason but if Biden’s American Rescue plan goes through then yes you would qualify
