Should I ask hubby to change his habits?
Hi! So hubby and I have been trying for baby number two since June/July. In that time I’ve been poked, prodded, and scraped (literally: I had a myosure D&C to remove a uterine polyp) and have recently learned that my progesterone levels are very low but my doc is hesitant to prescribe letrozole or clomid because I’m still breastfeeding my 15 month old. So, needless to say, I’m quite anxious about how this TTC journey is going.
For a few weeks I’ve been talking about getting a hot tub and hubby surprised me with one for Valentine’s Day. Now that we’re getting it set up I decided to check on hot tubs and a perm count and lo and behold! Sauna use can decrease sperm count by 50%!!
Furthermore, using a laptop on the lap can also decrease sperm count.
Guys, my hubby is a corporate lawyer and has spent the last year WFH with a laptop pressed to his crotch for 14+ hours a day!!! I feel sick.
So, now I’m not sure if I should forget I saw this information and hope for the best, while focusing on what I can control about my body or if I should mention it to him and see what he says (possibly ruining all anticipated fun with our new expensive toy) or if I should go scorched earth and outright ask him to stop using laptop on his lap and not use the new hot tub 😰
What do y’all think??
**Wdited to correct how long we’ve been trying. Thanks for y’all’s feedback! I’m going to chill
