O positive blood?

I’m just wondering if anyone here has o positive blood type. Did they tell you your baby’s blood type at the hospital and did they test fathers blood type as well? I read where If you have o positive blood the baby can have jaundice ?? So i have been concerned

I was told after giving birth with my first I was o+ my daughter is not and neither is my SO. She did have jaundice for a few days though. My 2nd baby did not have jaundice and he's o+ like me.

You can look it up but these are just some factors that will increase baby’s chances of getting jaundice:
1. Blood type mismatch - mom is O and baby is something else
2. Boy
3. Premature 
4. Breastfed (still recommended to breastfeed as benefits outweigh the risks)
5. Later child (2nd, 3rd, etc.) tends to have more extreme jaundice
6. East Asian
Both my kids had jaundice with the second pretty severe. I learned a lot from the nicu drs. Both times it was due to blood type mismatch. I’m O and my kids are B.

Any baby can have jaundice. I have no idea what their blood types are, but my son had it and my daughter didn't. It has more to do with bruising, babies born with bruises are more likely to have high bili levels

I am o pos so is my husband. I asked at the hospital and they told me with both my kids they are also o positive
