My morning sickness has been constant! Whoever started calling it “morning” sickness must’ve been playing some sick joke. Anyway, I’ve read that morning sickness can be more intense based on the sex of the baby. What do y’all think?

Every pregnancy is different, even in the same woman. My first was a boy and I had no sickness whatsoever. This second baby is also a boy and my first trimester was hell lol. I agree that whoever coined the term morning sickness was just full of bs as it was all day sickness for me 🤢

i had no morning sickness with my baby tbh i did have “nausea” for 2-3 days at 16 weeks but it was only if i tried to brush my teeth otherwise i was ok. my only symptom was clear skin since week 4 till now. just recently i’ve started feeling actually pregnant by getting more symptoms currently i’m 22 weeks

Everyone says it’s worse with girls. But with my experience I was really sick with my son (1st pregnancy) and not sick what so ever with my daughter (2nd). Now with my third I’m sick off and on and it’s mostly because of smell aversions.

I’ve had all girls and all 3 have been different severity’s. My last I was still being violently sick in labour and for a bit after, with my current its been random sickness/vomit from 16 weeks but no where near as bad. It’s nothing to do with gender ☺️

It’s an old wives tale - gender isn’t related at all. I’d always heard if you’re having a girl, you have horrible morning sickness, if you’re having a boy, you have an easier pregnancy. I had constant morning sickness too, food aversions, I lost 8 pounds and I didn’t have much weight to lose. It wasn’t just in the first trimester either, mine lasted through my second trimester too (though it came and went then). I’m having a boy. My sisters having a girl and had no unpleasant pregnancy symptoms - just an increased appetite. My mom had 3 girls and 1 boy, had morning sickness with all of us. Gender really isn’t relevant to it, I think it’s just your body reacting to the changes (and it can change per pregnancy).

It doesnt really matter the gender...it just sucks. 
With my son, i had it terrible from day 1 to week 40 giving birth i even threw up. It was every day. 
Currently 32 weeks with my daughter and i only threw up when i had covid at 12 and 13 weeks
