Ultrasound

Did anyone had a abdominal ultrasound only at 7 or 8 weeks and were able to have a clarity on everything without the need of transvaginal ultra sound?

I will be around 8 week and doctor said they will do abdominal first and if there is a need after it then they will do vaginal otherwise not. So i just want to get an idea whether i will be needing vaginal or not
