Missed miscarriage... when will it happen?

I am currently experiencing a missed miscarriage, the baby stopped developing at 6 weeks and I am 10 weeks now. I have not had symptoms of miscarriage, no spotting or bleeding.
I had an ultrasound yesterday and it showed in my results that my cervix is still closed. I have a d&c scheduled for next week, but tonight I am starting to have some cramping.
Anyone with an experience like this, because my cervix is still closed is it unlikely I will miscarry soon? Or could it open quickly and should I prepare for the possibility of it happening tonight or tomorrow?

I had a similar experience. I had a loss at 6w3d my first pregnancy the baby stopped growing and it wasn’t a full miscarriage. I had to take misoprostol to complete it. It was very painful. I’m sorry for your loss. I hope it works out for you.

Mine took 2 weeks from when I found out at a scan. I had little spotting which got a little bit heavier then at night it happened. Big downwards pressure on my abdomen and then all the clots. I hope it goes as ok as possible for you, sending love.

It took almost five weeks for me to miscarry, I had zero signs that it was going to happen, I literally just woke up to horrific cramps and tons of bleeding.
