ECV? Have you had it done

Has anyone had ECV done (External Cephalic Version). I go for an ultra sound next week to see if the baby has flipped but I want to get more info from anyone who has had this done. I already have a scheduled c section but I want to avoid having one.

No. I refused the procedure. Make sure you get all of the information. My doctors office would only do it at the hospital because the risk of baby going into distress and preterm labor is real. I was not comfortable with that AT ALL. Baby ended up flipping at 39 weeks. I still had a c section for other medical reasons.

I had it done and I'm really glad I did!! 
It hurt, I had to have gas&air but my consultant was successful first time and baby remained fine throughout.  
I was monitored for half an hour after. 
Baby remained head down and I got to have the vaginal birth I wanted.
The risks were outlined to me and if it had gone wrong obviously would have been emergency c section straight away...but if I didn't try I would have had to have the c section anyway so for me, it was worth it.  
I would definitely have it done again should I need to.
I'm in the UK, so maybe things are slightly different here if you're in America but feel free to ask anything you want x
