Breastfeeding Betrayal

Soooo I breastfed with both of my other children and I didn’t get my period until after weaning AND I lost weight/kept it off. This time around I am gaining weight and my period showed up with a vengeance (at 11 weeks postpartum). My first two were boys and this time we had a girl... not sure if that has anything to do with it but is anyone else out here dealing with a similar experience?

I am trying not to be down about it but it stings! It’s hard enough dealing with the isolation/pandemic and not being around family and having newfound severe food allergies that really limit what I can eat to begin with but adding this seems cruel🥺. Okay I’m done whining thanks for listening if you made it this far!
