Ovulation tests

We are TTC and we only started this month, unfortunately I have just come on my period.

I didn’t really do much planning other than look at my estimated fertile days on here. I want to up my odds this coming cycle so I have purchased some Clearblue ovulation tests (the ones with the smiley face) I was just wondering how often I should use them?

I’ve also purchased a thermometer to measure my basal temperature.

Any other tips to better my chances?
