Announcement - when?

Question

I’m 13 weeks and had my first scan. Everything is ok but I don’t know when to start telling people we are expecting? 
I’ve two friends that are currently having difficulties conceiving (one who’s not in a particularly good place) and am worried how our news might effect them?! 
When did people start announcing their pregnancies to people?

I waited till my second trimester to tell anyone, and I'm 27w and still haven't made a public announcement.  
I know my pregnancy hurt a close friend of mine who's had multiple miscarriages. My heart breaks for her, but I do get to be happy about the baby.

I announced at 13 weeks. I was already starting to show and I figured I would rather people find out because I choose to tell them. Congrats to you mama!

When you feel the time is right you will know! I was scared to tell my dad the most out of all people but had a long conversation before bringing it up yesterday so i just felt it was the right time and he reacted so much better than i thought. Tell it to the people you are closest to first that you think will take it better is a start thats how i did it and it worked out for the best. I wish the same happens for you!

I would announce after 13 weeks but honestly it’s whenever your comfortable! As for being worried how they might take it, they should be excited and happy for you ❤️ I know how hard it is ttc. I got pregnant the month my aunt lost her kid and I had a VERY hard time telling her. She was more upset I hadn’t told her right away ! She was so happy and batons excited for me ! If they do take it the wrong way don’t take it the wrong way because they are healing but they will more than likely be happy for you! ❤️
