Do you believe you should charge family members rent to live with you?

Scenario:

You are a married with a few children and your mother/ father asks to live with you. Whether you have subsidized rent/ mortgage, etc. Do you feel it’s right to charge them rent? Why or why not?

Side note: I’ve personally had to live with family members a few times and always paid rent and and purchased food for the house. My thought is nothing is free and I feel I’m an added person increasing utility usage etc I feel nothing is free so I’ve never lived anywhere without paying.
