Bright red period..help..?

My period started like normal and I haven't bled any other than when I'm on my period is it possible if I have an infection? I just don't remember it being this bright red tbh. Is this a healthy period? Lol help

I have bright red blood all the time! I talked to my gyno about it before and she said it’s perfectly normal. As long as there are not a ton of clots and you’re not in extreme pain, you should be good:)
The reason the blood is brighter has to do with what stage you are at in your cycle. Most of the blood that comes out is pinkish or brownish because it’s not fresh or it has been diluted with mucus. If the blood looks grayish or black that could be a sign of a problem like infection.
If you’re really concerned or it just doesn’t seem normal for you, you can always ask your doctor!
