What is it like to have a wisdom tooth removed without laughing gas?

My dentist says they don't use laughing gas to remove a wisdom tooth, they only numb it. I'm worried to do that because I do NOT handle pain well, especially in my mouth. Should I try to find a dentist that will use laughing gas, or just get it removed now?

I wanted to add that I know laughing gas isn't necessarily for pain, but I just wondered if I should see about it because of my anxiety surrounding it. I've had a lot of regular teeth pulled, and I remember every single one being a very unpleasant experience. If it's just like getting a regular tooth pulled, I think I could handle it. But if it's too uncomfortable I might need to find another dentist. I just really don't know what to expect. This is the only one I need pulled
