Do baby wipes expire? FTM here

Question

Soon to be a FTM here as my due date is on March 28th! This might be a stupid question but I’m still learning.. When would be the best time to start buying baby wipes? Also, we are needing to buy diapers too since we are getting a bit of a late start for diapers... and wipes... 😅
Do y’all have any recommendations for diapers/wipes??? Thank you in advance! ❤️

I would suggest getting diapers and wipes at Target because occasionally they’ll have a deal where you’ll get a gift card if you spend so much. I started a small stash of both before I had a baby shower. I’ve only had to give away 3 boxes. My baby is in a size 4 and we’ve never bought any diapers or wipes so far.

I bought several cases of wipes, whatever I found on sale or had deals f starting around July and August for my end of December baby. 
I also stocked up on diapers. A lot of people don’t recommend it but it worked for me. I took advantage of all the target deals and registry coupons so I got a ton of diapers at great prices. Stocking up really came in handy with a winter baby and when the pandemic hit.

Personally I didn’t do a diapers and wipes stash. I had a box of newborn diapers and then a 36-ish pack of size 1. We jus thought as we went. My friends that did stashes we constantly giving away diapers because they had too many of a size. 
Wipes are easier to stash. I don’t think they expire but they can dry out. We had about 4 months of wipes before our first came. We figured out our frequency of use and then we started a subscription on Amazon for the wipes we liked. 
I think diaper and wipes stash is a little unnecessary and can make moms feel unprepared when in reality they are not. 
We also had a small package of the next size up waiting for the day we might need to switch. That would hold us over till we could get to the store.
