Yes, helps startle reflex and also helps keep my baby from constantly scratching their head which wakes them up.

Yes! We have really liked it for the transition out of the swaddle- however- I’m not sure how close your little one is to rolling over but you’re suppose to stop using the Merlin when they do. Depending how close they are to that, it may not be worth purchasing at this point! I plan to switch to a sleep sack soon
