Struggling with texting on dating apps during lockdown

I’ve never been a texter, I’m such a busy person and fill my time with family and hobbies. I find texting absolutely impossible and I prefer to call people

I’m talking to a guy I really like on w dating app and we can’t meet yet cause of lockdown. I send him a message like every couple of days a long one as I don’t have the time to send back and forth messages. I really like him and excited to meet him but the other day he asked me if I still wanted to talk cause I took 3 days to reply to his email style message. I send long ones back and keep up this communication I just don’t have the time to have a convo over text, what’s the point especially as most men usually ghost me too.
