Post-Covid toothpaste/nail polish??
Okay, so, today officially marks 6 months since I had covid. 6 MONTHS!
I really didn't have any symptoms. It was super mild and I felt fine. I only lost my smell and taste.
However, some things didn't go back to normal. Specifically, toothpaste, nail polish, and a few other chemicals/febreeze scents.
I was brushing my teeth shortly after my taste came back (it came back about 3 weeks after my positive covid test), and it tasted so disgusting like I thought my toothbrush must've gone moldy. I threw it out and got a brand new one. I tried brushing my teeth again, and the taste was still there. So I thought it might've been the toothpaste. I threw a mostly full tube away and got a new one. Of course it still tasted terrible. The best way I can describe the taste is if someone mixed a chemical/cleaner with dirt and mold and let it sit.
Nail polish is the same way!!! It smells off, like it went bad or something. We also just got some new febreeze sprays and now (to me) the whole house smells just OFF like something died or there's mold everywhere.
And I'm the only one who can smell it. (Or taste, in regards to the toothpaste)
I talked about this to another friend who also lost her taste and smell back when she had covid 9 months ago, and she said that toothpaste and nail polish have never smelled the same since. She described it the exact same way I did.
Anyone else? When did you have covid?
