I have a pocket bully & she’s amazing, looking at her we’ve been told she “looks like a killer” probably because of her ears being cropped (they were already like that when we adopted her) but she’s the sweetest thing ever. Very affectionate, cuddly, loving & protective. ANY dog can be dangerous when provoked & some can be dangerous regardless due to not being properly trained & cared for. You should research any breed before getting it to ensure you can deal with them.

CANE CORSO ❤️ Remember, it’s all about how you raise them. I got my cane corso when he was 3 months & hes 2 now. Never had a problem with him & I constantly take him to the dog park. He’s one big friendly giant. I’m 9 months pregnant & I cannot wait for him to meet my son!

We have had 3 Corsos and have been involved with breeders and shows.  We have also had pit bulls and dobermans among other breeds not on your list.  The Cane Corso has been praised for being the most intelligent breed with the closest intellect and senses that of a human.  They truly are, in my experience.  They are powerful, large and fiercely protective, sometimes too much.  They are very intuitive.  They can be trained for nearly anything.  Here’s the other side, they love exercise but are also very good at being lazy, it is common for them to have hip dysplasia and slobber everywhere.  In general, the “real” breeders are very responsible and good at breeding good quality dogs.  They are still quite rare so there hasn’t been a large occurrence of irresponsible breeding and puppy mill breeding.  Having said that, because the blood lines are so pure and haven’t seen a lot of mixing, there has started to become a trend of cancers and short life spans.  But large (really the Corso is a giant breed) breed dogs all have shorter life spans.  They tend to do better with a natural diet rather than processed dog foods.  
The best dog we have ever had and known is a Cane Corso.  She died dramatically about 4 years ago from Cancer right before she turned 10.  Her name was Bianka.  She was a petite Corso weighing about 80 pounds.  
As long as you are a strong willed and dominant person(or someone in the household is) a Corso is a great option.  They are good with children and want to be part of the family.

Like others have said any dog can be aggressive when provoked and depends on how they’re raised. With all those breeds and a few that aren’t on your list they are a restricted breed so check for rules against them if you live in an apartment or certain cities cause they might not allow them. As for me my first choice of dog it would ha e to be the German Shepherd.

Cane Corso for sure. They’re beautiful. Also I have a pit And people are scared to come up to me sometimes I couldn’t imagine with a cane corso so also yes for safety reasons 😂 they’re pretty lazy once out of the puppy stage which I also like

We had a black lab growing up that was amazing with kids but would eat any man she didn’t like. So any dog can be aggressive. She was the best guard dog and family dog I ever had. My boarder collie had bitten someone before we got her protecting her house, she is also a great guard dog. But again great with my kids and loves her people. My parents have a lab/pit mix who is such a wild sweetheart, she has so much love to give that she just doesn’t know what to do but cover you in kisses.
