Smear test🙄

Hi ladies, so today I finally took the leap and went for my first smear test🎉 So I have a few questions, I'm a real bad overthinker and suffer bad with anxiety, so was having the test and when she removed it it was covered in blood, is this normal? I've read alot online🙄 like bleeding afterwards etc, but this was covered in blood, she said everything looked okay but we will know more when results are back and she will contact me in a week, so I start overthinking again and was like well you should only contact me if there's anything that comes back😪 so I'm just wondering if this is normal or I'm just ovetthinking it?
