Ok so. I am 6 months pregnant with a O-Negative blood type. I’ve had the rogram, rhrogram shot whatever you wanna call it. BUTTT, my OB is wanting to take the babies blood my next appointment to see if it is positive or negative to see if I need another shot or not. . I asked how would she do that and she said she is going to swab the umbilical cord. Now this is my first kid and I’ve asked friends and they’ve never heard of this. Now in order to swab the babies cord don’t they have to go through my cervix to even get to the womb? I’m just super confused and kind of scared. Is this normal? (This OB has had bad reviews so another reason why I’m scared)
