Maternity leave

Just here to rant....

I started working as a paraprofessional at an elementary school in the beginning of October. When I told the district I was pregnant they told me to come to their office closer to the due date to set up maternity leave. Fast forward to today, I had a meeting set with someone from the district to set up my maternity leave, once I arrive she tells me I don’t qualify because I haven’t been working there for over a year.... like girl why would you tell me to come in to set it up in the first place then?!?
