Follow up ultrasound

So I had my first ultrasound 2 weeks ago at 8 weeks pregnant. They ultrasound tech did an abdominal ultrasound which I thought was strange since I’ve never had an abdominal ultrasound done that early. Anyways, they said everything looked great and that was the end of it. About a week later I got my report on my patient portal, and it stated that my mean gestational sac diameter was small(measuring <5 mm). It stated that this means i am at an increased rate of pregnancy loss. Of course this terrified me and took me off guard since there was no mention of this during my appointment. I reached out and was talking to a nurse at the hospital and she also stated that it was weird that they did an abdominal ultrasound at 8 weeks. She told me that I could come in for another ultrasound if I would like(for peace of mind) but she was confident that if my ultrasound has been done transvaginally that my report would never have said this. Fast forward to today, I went to my ultrasound where the did a transvaginal ultrasound (I’m 10 weeks now), and my sac is measuring just right abs baby is great! It has been an emotional and stressful week, but so thankful that everything is just how it is supposed to be! ❤️

First ultrasound is my 8 week abdominal ultrasound, and second is my transvaginal 10 week ultrasound.
